Asexual Artist Cooks and Serves Own Genitals at Public Banquet

An artist in Tokyo cooked and served his own surgically removed genitals to a group of paying customers while a crowd watched on.

It all started with a simple tweet: ““Please retweet. I am offering my male genitals (full penis, testes, scrotum) as a meal for 100,000 yen…. I will prepare and cook as the buyer requests, at his chosen location.””

On Sunday, April 13, Tokyo illustrator Mao Sugiyama (who goes by the nickname “HC”), publicly seasoned and braised his own genitals on a portable gas cartridge burner, and then served them to five eager diners who each paid about $250 for the meal (a sixth was a no-show). The genitals had been returned to the asexual Sugiyama, frozen and double-bagged in plastic, following elective genital removal surgery on his 22nd birthday in early April.

Sugiyama had also intended to include his nipples on the menu, but his attempt to burn them off with sodium hydroxide did not result in anything usable.

Next Media Animation gives John Travolta the animation over a gay sex scandal.

John Travolta is being sued for $2 million by a male masseur who claims the Hollywood star sexually assaulted him during a massage session at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The unidentified masseur, referred to as John Doe in court documents, claims Travolta responded to an ad for his services in January. During the massage Travolta stripped naked in front of the masseur, touched the masseur’s genitals and attempted to initiate at least one sex act.

Lamda Literary is reporting that the beloved author of the iconic yet contronversial childrens’ book Where the Wild Things Are has died of a stroke at the age of 83. Sendak illustrated over 100 children’s books in his career, many of which have been adapted to film, television, and the stage. He came out of the closet in 2008 in a New York Times interview shortly after his longtime partner of 50 years passed away. In its memorial, the NYT said that Sendak was “widely considered the most important childrens’ author of the 20th century, who wrenched the picture book out of the safe, sanitized world of the nursery and plunged it into the dark, terrifying and hauntingly beautiful recesses of the human psyche”

Attacked Trans Woman Faces Murder Charges

In June, CeCe McDonald, a 23 year old, African-American transgender fashion student, was attacked in Minneapolis while heading to a grocery store with her friends. What started with racial and gender epithets from a group of two women and a man standing outside of a bar turned even more violent after McDonald told the trio, that she wouldn’t stand for the racist and transphobic slurs. According to the Advocate, one of the women yelled back, “I’ll take you on bitch”, and broke a beer mug on CeCe’s face, slicing open her salivary gland. CeCe fought back and in the end, Dean Schmitz, a 47 year old man with a swastica tattooed on his chest bled to death after being stabbed with a pair of fabric scissors from McDonald’s purse. Although the stabbing was likely in self defense, it is not clear whether it was directly at the hands of McDonald or one of the friends who was accompanying her that evening.

McDonald, who was arrested, interrogated without council, and placed in solitary confinement facing second degree murder charges, has been described by a friend as “wise, outspoken, cheerful, and with a history of handeling predjudice with amazing grace”. Recently, the case garnered national media attention when author and activist, Kate Bornstein highlighted it during an appearance on the Melissa Harris-Perry Show.

An online community of support for McDonald and her defense has been growing. As of this post, an online petition, hosted by Change.org urging the Hennepin County Attorney, Michael Freeman, to drop the charges against McDonald has already received over 16,000 signatures. Leslie Feinberg has been drawing attention to the online call to #FreeCece through his Twitter feed and Free Cece, and Support Cece McDonald have been established by McDonald supporters to disseminate information about the case.

McDonald is set to go trial on Monday, April 30th at 9:00AM for an estimate of up to two weeks.

Alongside Will Smith, Justin Beiber got slimed last night at Nickelodeons Kid’s Choice Awards. Some say it was glorious, but I think it looks very odd to cover any person on TV with a thick liquid. Wouldn’t this make more sense at an adult film awards show? It looks like it could be somebody’s sexual fetish, and probably is.

With a little photo manipulation, the slime can be made to look like something else.

I've had dreams, I've had nightmares like this.

I don’t think most kids get the “You Can’t Do That On Television” reference. On the popular 80s syndicated TV show whenever someone didn’t know the answer to the question, they got covered in slime. The same thing happened whenever they said they were thirsty, or said the word honey, water, sweet. You get the idea.

Thankfully nobody ever said “gee whiz.”
