Zachary Quinto looks a little bloated here in the photo, he’s got the freshman 15, and by that we mean the 15 pounds you gain when you come out of the closet. Or lose, I’m not quite sure. Maybe he’s playing William Shatner or the Vulcan New World in the movie as well. (Thanks to Brian Sweeney for that joke.)

Star Trek 2 will be the first time an openly gay actor has been on Star Trek, a place where they really have never gone before. Can we expect some Kirk/Spock fiction making its way into the new canon?

I am not sure if this research leads to the invention of a Japanese product called Thermal Urinal Fly which is basically a sticker that you can put on the back of your own uninal. The young man says the lawmaker wouldn’t let him leave the hotel room so he hid in the bathroom and called his sister who came to rescue her brother. The sister called the rep.’s wife to let her know that”her husband is gay and the wife begged her not to tell the police.

The sister went to the Indiana Star newspaper instead because she found the rep.’s actions to be creepy.

State Rep. Philip Hinkle co-authored the “In God We Trust” Indiana license plate bill, because God knows you can’t trust a hooker.

Emails shared with The Indianapolis Star suggest that state Rep. Phillip Hinkle — responding to a local posting on Craigslist — offered a young man $80 plus tip to spend time with him Saturday night at the JW Marriott hotel.

The emails, sent from Hinkle’s publicly listed personal address, ask the young man for “a couple hours of your time tonight” and offer him cash up front, with a tip of up to $50 or $60 “for a really good time.”

Bill Nye’s reaction is priceless.  While talking about newly discovered volcanoes on the  far side of the moon, the anchor asks if the discovery disproves climate change.  ROFL!!  Bill Nye slowly but surely reassures the anchor that no it does not and that anyone who attempts to counter scientific data with intuition and politics is a Fucking Idiot.

I’ve recently come across more information on Walter Mischel’s famous marshmallow experiment of deferred gratification often mentioned on Feast of Fun.

In his experiment, Mischel sat a series of 4-year-olds down in a room and placed a marshmallow in front of them saying they could either eat that 1 marshmallow now or wait until he went away and came back with another so they could eat 2 marshmallows instead. The trick, the kids had to resist the torture in order to get a greater reward.

Heard many a time on the show, we know the kids who instantly ate the 1 marshmallow grew up to be Hitler, Stalin & Kawame Kilpatrick & those who waited became Oprah, Lady Gaga & Ru Paul.

BUT

Mischel also did the marshmallow experiment with Oreo cookies as well (something I wouldn’t have been able to resist) & came across a problem.

One kid picked up the cookie, twisted it, slipped the silky cream filling into his mouth & carefully put the cookie shell back into place.

The info is not public who this 4-year-old was, but does anyone have any guesses?

We use to love making straw worms as a kids.

In the film, Greek warrior Theseus battles against imprisoned titans including: Mickey Rourke, John Hurt, Stephen Dorff and Frieda Pinto. Directed by Tarsem, this movie has it all: musky Minotaur’s that are hung like bulls, a hunky half naked Heracles and Cavill as a spunky peasant with a golden rod.

But with a budget of $115,000,000 you’d think Henry Cavill could afford a shirt. I’m just sayin.’

If you like James Franco as a genetic scientist, then you probably loved Denise Richards as young American nuclear physicist, Dr. Christmas Jones, working to dismantle nuclear warheads in “The World is Not Enough.” It would be nice to see Franco in a movie that didn’t involve drugs, and still I rise.

Dame Elizabeth Had Beauty in Her Genes… Gene Mutation Anyway

Dame Elizabeth apparently had a very rare genetic mutation of her FOX2 gene (Foxy gene) which caused her to have double rows of eyelashes.  Her lashes were so thick that Roddy McDowell said that the producers of Lassie Come Home demanded that all the eye makeup be removed from Miss Taylor’s eyes (she was a very young kid then) when she arrived on set.

Can you imagine in this age of Toddlers and Tiaras that producers would have no stomach for kids with makeup? Anyway, after rubbing her eyes with wet towels for a while (poor baby), they realized that she was wearing no eye makeup.  She was BORN to be beautiful.

Back to the villain: speaking during a podcast, C. Thomas Howell spilled the beans: “I play a construction worker whose son is caught in the middle of a battle between the Lizard and Spider-Man and we’re on the Manhattan Bridge. Spider-Man helps me get my son back in a perilous situation. At the end of the movie, there is a little bit of a payback there. Spider-Man is kind of hurting and I help him. Part of the story is the nation thinks he might be a bad guy at first. They don’t know who this guy is. Because of my experience on the bridge with my kid, I know he is a good guy. So, I pitch in and sort of help out at the end.”

Well, there’s the whole movie folks–save your money. C. Thomas Howell ruins everything. First “Soul Man” and now this! You know how the fish got caught, C. Thomas Howell? It opened it’s mouth!

The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit cinemas on July 4, 2012. The “ground breaking” 3D film also stars Emma Stone (Hot), Rhys Ifans (Who?), Denis Leary, Martin Sheen (Winning!), Campbell Scott, Julianne Nicholson and Sally Field (Shelby, drink your juice).
