Zachary Quinto looks a little bloated here in the photo, he’s got the freshman 15, and by that we mean the 15 pounds you gain when you come out of the closet. Or lose, I’m not quite sure. This past March, sexy muscle daddy Dennis Mayer and his partner John Hart made international news after getting caught having sex on the balcony of their room on a gay cruise.

They were arrested by the island country of Dominica, threatened with invasive rectal medical exams and up to 14 years in prison for a consensual act they thought no one could see.

That tiny speck in the middle of this photo is either two gay men having sex, or a large guy who likes to dance naked.

Today, Dennis and his partner John Robert Hart join us from their home in Palm Springs to talk about the horrific ordeal and raise the possibility that gay men are still in danger on cruise ships who travel to violently anti-gay countries.

How did the company respond to two of its passengers getting hauled off for sex on a cruise whose main selling point is a sexually charged atmosphere?

My guess is that it had something to do with North Carolina voting against equality, upsetting big donors of the Democratic Party.

In an interview on ABC news airing tonight, the President said:

“When I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married.”

Obama likes to think about same-sex couples. Nice.

Like most men, I'm sure it's not the firs time Obama has thought about same-sex couples. Note to politicians: never pose for a photo op while eating a hot dog.

The president’s position became a hot topic this week, when Vice President Joe Biden said he himself was “absolutely comfortable” with allowing same-sex couples to wed, and that there’s nothing wrong with that.

We all thought it was just another Joe Biden mis-speak, when it turned out to be a calculated move by the administration to test the waters on this hotly debated issue.

This is why it’s important to hound politicians about your wants, because otherwise they don’t act.

Is Maggie Ghalalger happy about the news assuming she get more funding in her hate filled war on Equality or is she fetching a new pair of undergarments to hold the massive crap she just took in her stretchy pants?

Don’t get too excited, Obama also stated that he still believes that this is his personal position, and still supports the concept of states deciding the issue on their own. Will this part of the Democratic plank come convention time? We think so. Soon you can make a honest man or woman out of your fuck buddy.

We think he’d be better off by reminding voters that it would save the government a big headach, time and money if they just treated everyone the same.

Next Media Animation gives John Travolta the animation over a gay sex scandal.

John Travolta is being sued for $2 million by a male masseur who claims the Hollywood star sexually assaulted him during a massage session at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The unidentified masseur, referred to as John Doe in court documents, claims Travolta responded to an ad for his services in January. During the massage Travolta stripped naked in front of the masseur, touched the masseur’s genitals and attempted to initiate at least one sex act.

At the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Obama jokes, “In my first term, we repealed the policy known as ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ Wait, though. In my second term we will replace it with a policy known as ‘It’s Raining Men.’”

McDonald, who was arrested, interrogated without council, and placed in solitary confinement facing second degree murder charges,  has been described by a friend as “wise, outspoken, cheerful, and with a history of handeling predjudice with amazing grace”.  Recently, the case garnered national media attention when author and activist, Kate Bornstein highlighted it during an appearance on the Melissa Harris-Perry Show.

An online community of support for McDonald and her defense has been growing.  As of this post, an online petition, hosted by Change.org urging the Hennepin County Attorney, Michael Freeman, to drop the charges against McDonald has already received over 16,000 signatures.  Leslie Feinberg has been drawing attention to the online call to #FreeCece through his Twitter feed and Free Cece, and Support Cece McDonald  have been established by McDonald supporters to disseminate information about the case.

McDonald is set to go trial on Monday, April 30th at 9:00AM for an estimate of up to two weeks.
