FOF #622 – Baby Can Dance

Oct 2, 2007 · 20188 views

Marc, Fausto and Marsian in HollywoodOn today’s show we talking with our Los Angeles pal Marsian De Lellis, who performed at the VERY first Feast of Fools show, in the Spring of 2008.

Marsian has been super duper busy studying at Cal-Arts getting his Masters in Puppetry Arts and working on a hilarious script about a ice-cream cake heiress and her woeful battles with self-esteem, addiction and space aliens.

But today we’re chatting at one of Marsian’s favorite vegan cafes to dish the dirt and drop names on the bizarre in the global art scene and to talk about more fun predictions for the future.

We all made it to San Francisco in one piece after our Live Podcast in Los Angeles. It was electrifying!

We all had a fabulous time on Sunday at Akbar taping our live podcast, meeting the fans and enjoying the joyful crowd.

Sal-E dazzled everyone not just with his great costume, but with his hilarious stories of visiting Palm Springs and being cruised by some rather questionable folks. Miss Ronnie was her typical true diva self, keeping it real and looking fabulous in her 70s inspired nightgown. Our special guest comedian Sabrina Matthews was fabulous and Steven Peterson sat on a delicious Strawberry Shortcake while Marsian De Lellis forgoed his dietary restrictions and licked off the frosting from you know where.

Yes, we’re always like this. Click here to see Buzz’s photos of the event, or here to see Mike J’s pics!

Marc and I had a great time meeting the fans and getting to know our Los Angeles pals one on one. It was so touching and beautiful to see all the Feast of Fools t-shirts, in their various styles all in one place on so many people. Thanks to Barbara Drumm and everyone else who sponsored the event, we couldn’t have done it without you.

I’ll be posting up photo/audio/video footage next week when we get back to Chicago, as we simply don’t have the ability to render and edit all the fabulous footage on the road. Oh the anticipation!

But some of you don’t have to wait.

If you live in San Francisco or the Bay area, come join us in the fun once again tomorrow Wednesday Oct. 3 at The Stud Bar at 7pm for a special sexy Feast of Fools podcast with Marc Felion and me, Fausto Fernós joined by regulars Amanda Steinstein, Miss Ronnie, Steven Peterson and Sal-E plus special guests comedian Ronn Vigh and Trannyshack drag legend Heklina.

Wow – I love Buzz’ photos! Miss Ronnie is not only funny but also VERY beautiful and SalE a piece of art! And look how handsome and gorgeous the boys look in their suits and dinner jackets… and Steven – I am sure many of us wish to be a strawberry sometimes :)
    Great show!

  10. Alas I am trying to keep up with the show but college papers take precedent.
Still trying to comment everyday though.
I am sure your live podcast was great.

  11. john110579 says:

It was SOOOOOO much fun seeinging you all out this Sunday hope to see you guys on gay-days at Disnyland!!! MWAHHH

  12. Maia says:

Loved hearing Marsian on the show today… once a year is NOT enough! Had me in stitches with “Mississippi hot dog” — sign me up as another survivor of the Suzuki cult. Do you guys also remember the “strawberry, raspberry” Twinkle variation? Or was this just something my violin teacher made up? I had to ask, given all this talk of Stephen and his berryliciousness…

I’m so impressed with all the preparations Fausto and Marc and the whole gang made for the live shows… can’t wait to see more footage!

  13. bowdownza says:

Marsian is downright heelarryus! He should have his own podcast- or at least be featured more here.

Fausto you mentioned something about editing the show and I nearly fell off my bike. You edit the show?!

  14. RcktMan says:

Marsian! I love hearing you on the show! Your wry sense of humor keeps me (and Marc, apparently) in stitches. I’m just jealous that you got to taste that creamy filling… :-)

  15. Wesley says:

Please FOF, sir, I want some more…Marsian.

  16. Henry says:

Hilarious! Marsian, i like your mind. Laughter is good for the soul, and after yesterday – I am healthy!

  17. marsian says:

Thank you beautiful people for all your kind words – Henry, Wesley, Rcktman, Bowdownza, Maia, John110579, Mike, Michael, PupDon, Steven, Ventura79, Cliff, Patchouli_stink, Moonsammy, Patrick and Barbara – Compliments will get you everywhere with me! Thanks.

  18. Isn’t it wonderful to stay in touch with friends? Marsian is a gem.

  19. sfimporter says:

Does his voice really sound like that? It’s like a valley girl from Connecticut.

  20. DynaMike says:

They actually made a dog pappoose. I can’t believe it.

  21. marsian says:

How shocking DynaMike, I almost fell off my seat!!! And thanks for your kind words Sfimporter, I will be sure to include them in my next artist bio.

  22. I too am a big Marsian fan. I’m not sure how I would describe the tone and accent of Marsian’s voice, but the end result is electrifying! There’s just something there that keeps me wanting more. I’ve listened to the old podcasts featuring Marsian several times each. Love em! Marsian, you have to visit us more often!
