Cheerleaders, a studly viking and a ukele playing guy from New York join us on today’s overstuffed burrito of podcasting fun.
Sometimes when you overbook your guests, you get a whole new exciting taste combination of fun and pleasure. On today’s show we have a superfan Jonas Åstrøm, musical guest Ben Lerman who’s star is quickly rising on the internet with his spontaneous duet with Britney Houston.

Fausto has been freaking out the people at Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin Robin’s when he asks for a French cruller in a cup with soft serve ice cream on top.
You should order one and gage their reaction. The staff seem mystified as the two worlds collide in a donut-ice cream dessert explosion. I’m not sure how long it will take for the concoction to catch on with the corporate types that run the franchise but when it does, you know you heard it here first.
Mary and Ricky for the Spirit Brigade regale us with ten reasons why cheerleaders aren’t tramps, or are tramps. Who knows which? But it was fun anyway. We also discover that Ricky sounds exactly like Ron Popeil of Ronco fame. We just can’t stop asking him to say “set it and forget it” or “beef jerky, turkey jerky, homemade yogurt, banana chips and apple snacks, dried pineapple, and much more” or “But Wait…There’s More!” Ah, the hilarity never ends.
Did you know that people are suffering from empathy deficit disorder? Yes, some people aren’t feeling sorry enough for other people. Can you believe it? Ben Lerman said it best though in regards to these poor people with the disorder when he said, “I don’t feel anything for them!”
The international language of love is laughter- Feast of Fools.

DAMMIT – now I have “Smell Yo Dick” stuck in my head again! Grrr… thanks a lot!
What a treat of a show this was! I think I’m officially in love with Ben Lerman. He’s so damn funny and adorable… but so are Ricky and Jonas and Mary (oh my!)
Seriously, this was a really fun show. I think this may be a record for the number of guests on one show. I don’t remember there ever being SIX people in the room at one time like this before. This is historic, people!
And you handled it quite well despite the potential chaos
Ricky does sound strikingly like Ron Popeil. I have the Veg-O-Matic and this nifty shoe polishing thingy from Ronco in my possession. Now whenever I use them I’ll think of darling Ricky.
What a fun & entertaining show. Love your guests and there was such great chemistry between all of you. Ben’s song “When You Touch Me” was amazing!!!!
I agree- Ben Lerman is adorable- I am so FAR BEHIND in FOF podcasts that I just heard #769, but I am looking forward to hearing this podcast soon!! I’m catching up at a rate of about 3 podcasts a day!!!
Ready…Okay!
Go bananas!
Go go bananas!
Peel to the left!
Peel to the right!
Peel my banana
and mmmmmmm take a bite!
I am bananas for today’s hodgepodge of guest. It is like a fantastic mash up of past shows with a hot fan thrown in for good measure. I agree with everyone above, Ben is hilarious and so super cute. I could just shoot myself I missed him when he was here in Atlanta.
A highly technical and dangerous show. Loved it.
I love how “smell yo’ dick” is an instant party song.
I want it to come out on Rock Band and Guitar (Ukulele?)Hero.
I almost spit out my coffee when Ben Lerman started screaming in his song, “I love you but I hate it when you tuoch me.”
He’s one of my favorite guests.
Great show guys!
I spoke to soon…I see Ben will be in Atlanta June 26th and 27th. I’ll be there.
seriously guys, you should do this more often! book multiple guests, i mean… a totally different dynamic i must say! and please, please, please have ben lerman on again soon! i think i’m crushing on him! ;-P
with marc and fausto’s permission, i’d like to invite the listeners to download the “hot gay comics” podcast episode 10– the very first time i’d heard of (and from) ben! such a cute, naughty, sexy and revealing interview!
Here’s the lolcat I talked about, Marc:
moar funny pictures
Also, many thanks to the Fools for letting me into their sanctuary and see where the magic happens! It’s very interesting how “into the act” they get when recording starts. They truly are talented.
And: I appreciate you driving me to the airport – I didn’t want to leave…

Thanks for love Jonas. It was a real treat to have you around. Please keep in touch!
thanks for all the love, feast of foolers. and big thanks to marc and fausto for having me back on the show. i always have fun with them…. marc, when you say “thanks for love jonas,” do you mean litterally? looked like there was some magic about to happen at the drum circle.
I almost forgot about the drum circle. That was a lot of fun. You should come sometime.
Amazing show!!! Of course that’s the expected result when you combine that amount of fabulousness in one single podcast!!
Kudos to Ben for his talent!!!
Kisses!
Ben seems like a very nice person and I wish him well in his career, but honestly I hope you limit his future appearances on the podcasts. Maybe if he only tried to be funny and didn’t sing; or only sang and didn’t try to be funny. The resulting combination of the two is PAIN-ful! Judging from the other comments, I seem to be in the slim minority, but as an everyday listener for the last two years I wanted to give you this feedback. Thanks guys for all you do!
wow ouch.
You know what would bring a little healing here? A sing-a-long!
Don’t let the exception to the rule bring you down Ben – we want you back!
I thought Ben was a lot of fun, and that he is also quite talented. He’s the best ukulele player I know – and I don’t know that many! (None in fact, but that’s beside the matter.)
I think his songs kind of reflects the way most of us think sometimes, but don’t want to express out loud.
don’t worry… i’m going to keep on keepin on. no matter how PAIN-ful it gets.
So what song should we sing to start the healing process?
Ben, I think you are awesome and want to hear you come back on the show. As M.J. would say….
“…They don’t see you as I do
I wish they would try to.
I’m sure they’d think again,
If they had a friend like Ben.”
Oh yes, Fausto. How about this one….
Opps.. Let me try one more time… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSqo17o2a1w
Here it is for you Marty and Ben!
Ben is so stinkin funny! He is such a great addition to the already great humor. Please have him on when he gets back around to Chicago!!
I love Ben! Great song about lazy eyes it was hilarious. I myself had one as a child so I feel your pain Mary.
Another great Feast of Fools production!
Well, I believe I have now heard Ben Lerman singing “Smell Yo Dick” about seven times, it’s pretty amazing! I have to agree with Ben about respecting the lyrics of the song–it is about a Black woman talking to her Black boyfriend, and then hearing him talk back to her. The entire song is a truly remarkable example of African American Vernacular English, marked not only by the vocabulary but also (and especially) by the grammar. I’m just amazed that Ben can rap so well AND play the ukulele at the same time! I would love to see you perform live and meet!!!
I also enjoyed all of your other guests today–Jonas, Mary, and Ricky–and Fausto performing Linda Ronstadt was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! OMG!!!!! Qué lindo!!!
P.S. Why do the show notes talk about the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins donut treat? I was pretty sure that happened in another show, not this one.
