Just how do you deal with Interent creeps and how to stop be perceived as one yourself.

Very interesting and funny show, and a wonderful guest to boot. Kudos from a fellow Stephen Fry’s fan. :)

  2. If you guys have any unanswered questions, please be sure to post them here for Dave (or anyone else) to answer them.

  3. I have to say, this was one of the most informative episodes I’ve heard to date. It was an interesting, modern topic, but not taken so seriously it becomes dry like reading the manual that came with my coffee pot. Of course, this means tomorrow Tracy’s going to be back on with more stories about the pool guy to balance this out.

  4. Alfonzo says:

I totally thought that picture of Mark was Chris Noth.

  5. uhm, sorry, I didn’t realize certain recent events had occured, and I withdraw my joke from my above comment. Thanks to christian83 for pointing it out to me.

  6. Andy says:

    Interesting, informative and funny show.

Maybe Dave can check out “StudiVZ”, the German version of facebook. It is quite similar but the design (a red colour scheme) is even worse. Since facebook offers a German version it is more popular here anyway.

But I hope there will be a new social network which is not so restrictive like facebook.

This was a really informative and interesting podcast I think your journalism/interviewing skills just get better all the time.

I unfriended Fausto Marc and Tracy before. I wanted to concentrate on using this website and keep FB for family and have less traffic. Also I didn:t want to explain shit showers to my aunty. However. I missed all the feeds and Faustos videos. So I re-friended ( new word, I claim ownership).

I blocked unwarrented invites from some blonde haired sluts so blocking works.

Your guest was really clear and precise.

Oh and Stephen Fry is a big English queen you can see in Gosford Park and he writes really funny books. We is one of the great living monarchs of British society.

  8. Marc Felion says:

@The Chamberlain- I appreciate the apology but don’t give it a second thought.

  9. Drew says:

Chris Noth WISHES he looked like Marc! He is the hottest man in talk radio today, bar none.

Great show guys, I added you as a friend and joined the Feast of Fun page too.

I wish there was a way to be friends with people but stop getting annoying emails from them.

  10. Mark Wilson says:

Interesting show guys, great to hear someone debunking facebook, lots of useful content especially about groups/pages. The talk about Twitter also reminded me that I hadn’t received any twits from you guys for ages, I assumed that you’d stopped doing them…

Upon investigation it transpires that Twitter has stopped sending SMS updates to any phone outside of the USA and Canada and you can’t register a mobile to get updates unless it has a US or canadian number so it’s not a lot of use to us across the pond! It looks like it has become a victim of its own success and the popularity explosion of it here has overloaded the system.

  11. Mark says:

Here I am sitting in my own house with my big headphones on, because I don’t want to stop listening to this episode! I started a walk to the store listening to this show, now I don’t even want to pause it. When we started our restaurant last year we weren’t on Facebook at all, but after a while I realized that’s where I needed to be. I made that mistake about having a Group vs a Page when I started, I wish I’d had Dave’s book back then! But our Facebook page is still somewhat stale, so I guess it’s time to get Dave’s book now. Great show.

  12. Dave Awl says:

Wow, thanks for all the great comments, you guys! I had a blast doing the show —Fausto & Marc are consummate hosts — and I’m glad so many are finding it informative.

Also, if anyone wants to find me on Twitter, I’m at:

P.S. I see the Chris Noth thing, but Marc also reminds me a little of John Barrowman for some reason. Maybe just because I have Doctor Who on the brain.

  13. Rojieh says:

Thanks for peaking my interest in Facebook! I enjoyed the helpful hints from Dave and was inspired to update my Facebook page and share this information with a friend. We both stayed up long hours having fun looking up people from high school. As always, I learned something new from the Feast of Fun!
