For over 25 years, Andy Thayer has fought tirelessly for gay rights, including Marriage Equality, the Stop Dr. Laura campaign and anti-police brutality against gays. He recently was arrested at the 4th annual Gay Pride in Moscow which coincided with the popular Eurovision contest and spent the night in a Russian prison.
Earlier this week the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8, the Referendum from the 2008 election that took away the right for same sex people to marry. At the same time, the judges upheld the same sex marriages performed before the referendum. What’s going on here?

Thanks for having Andy on. I’ve been inundated with e-mails, mostly donation requests from all these different groups. I have no idea where to put my energy. I trust Andy and I really value and appreciate his perspective on the various organizations.
