On the advice of a co-worker, Sam Norman, took one of his funny catch phrases and turned it into an outrageous song.
Just for kicks, he and his friend Andrew Swant made a music video for the song and it quickly went viral on Youtube, gaining millions of viewers and even the attention of actor Johnny Depp.
The song really went thought the roof when the TV show, South Park licensed it as a number for one of its characters.

Today we’re talking to the one and only Samwell- in the flesh over the origins of “What, What in the Butt,” his future plans and his authenticity.
Believe it or not, some people think he’s a fake- just an actor hired by a marketing company.
In person Samwell is an easy going, witty, fun-loving guy who lives in Chicago and travels across the country to perform for his fans.
But- will there be a “What, What in the Butt” movie?

LOVED Samwell!
It was great to meet him rather quickly at Mary’s Attic over the weekend, but it was wonderful to really get a chance to know him through the show!

I didn’t get to slap but, but I did get to see Samwell slap his own fabulous booty!
Loved the butt show and Samwell.
I looked for an English version of the German movie “Traumschiff suprise” (Dreamship suprise) Marc mentioned on the show but I could not find one. But the German DVD has English subtitle. It is basically a mix of Start Trek and Star Wars and parodies several other science fiction films. It was the third most successful German movie in Germany, Swiss and Austria.

Here is the song of the movie, the lyrics are mostly in English. Stefan Raab, the guy with the sun glasses, one of the most successful German entertainers, sings only in the clip but has not a role in the movie.
to think he’s been in Chicago all this time!! It was great to have him on the show, and get the story behind that song/music video that I always found so obscure….
