We met Summer Nettles at a haunted house this past Halloween and fell in love. boy did we have some Summer lovin’. Summer brings her unique perspective as a talk radio personality and producer to Chicago’s 1035 Kiss FM.
She’s on today’s show talking about how she handles all the celebrity guests that come to her station and how she wooed the fabulous Wendy Williams to come in and tape an interview.
In college, Summer was involved with Snowball, a peer group advocating safer sex. It’s unusual name came from the hopes that the group would have a snowball effect, encouraging others to use protection. Luckily the Urban Dictionary wasn’t around back then, or they’d have to rename the group. Looks it up kids.
Summer’s had her own close encounters with STD’s of the third kind and is happy to talk about how angels or was it aliens, warned her off having sex with an ex-boyfriend.
Listen as we take a look at the tragic murder of 19 year old Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado of Puerto Rico who was brutally killed and dismembered. His killer has confessed to the crime and is citing “gay panic” as his defense.

She kind of reminds me of someone…
We told her that that would be one of the first things people say, and sure enough we we right. But as you know each person is unique and each person offers something completely different.
And Summer is fabulous! I hope she comes and does another show sometime!
I’m halfway through the show and LOVING Summer – she’s such fun!
For my 30th Birthday my boyfriend hired a stripper – who apparently wanted to ‘clean out’ because I guess he figured he was gonna be doing someone (not me) so my boyfriend gave him the almost empty plastic heinz ketchup bottle from the fridge…..and NO, we didn’t put it back when he was done, and I’ve never looked at ketchup the same way.
Summer was great! hilarious show despite the grim news stories at the end…

I think it’s safe to say that we all love Summer! She’s as warm and lovely as the season itself! I’ve said it before, but I love these kinds of shows where things are more loose and free-flowing… and that’s exactly how things were with Summer. I hope she’ll be back again!
