Melissa Young is a firecracker with a big voice to match. She’s teamed up with some musical theater kids to bring back Cabaret to Boystown, the heart of Chicago’s gay neighborhood.
She thought she was invited to perform a couple of songs and found herself hosting the entire show. How does the smallest diva measure up?
Join us as Melisa talks about her experience doing cabaret in Chicago and her fascination with the movie Breakin and Breakin’ 2: Electric Bugaloo. Did you know Jean Claude Van Damne was a break dancer in the tacky 80s film?

OMG… Favorite show art of all time! OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!
So, I thought Marc was saying that Ice T was from Belgium and soooo didn’t get it was Jean Claude Van Damme he was talking about. I was thinking, “I never would have guessed Ice T was from Belgium, how about THAT” Who’s Pretty!

Wondering where Anna may be…
Right here! This show was funny and educational. My friends like to refer to awful movie sequels as the title of the first movie with “electric bugaloo” attached to the end. I knew it was in reference to something, but I’d never bothered to find out, so thank you for that!
I know you’ve had Melissa on the show before, and I hope she becomes a regular guest like Cameron.
Oh, and by the way, I tried some locally brewed kombucha when I was visiting some friends in Columbus, Ohio, over the holidays. Not bad. I’d describe it more like a beer than a tea.
Just finished listening to this show (crap, I’m so behind again!) and enjoyed it lots. Thanks for all you do and for mixing it up w/the ladies now and then too.
Melissa’s hilarious. You always have so much fun with your guests (well, most of them, right?!) .
I just listened to this show late as well. I LOVE Melissa. She’s a laugh-riot. Love, Bri
