In a world where women are often seen as nice, these ladies broke all the rules and showed us just how bad they could be.
Whether it’s suspense, cult, horror, true stories or pure camp everyone loves to watch women behaving badly in films.
Murder, revenge, jealousy, they’re all an essential element to some of our favorite movies. So why are we so attracted to them?
Today San Francisco movie expert Peaches Christ joins us to take a look at some of our favorite hard women in film. From Blanche and Baby Jane to Nomi and Cristal Connors we’ve got some hot ladies for you!
Peaches spent last year working on her directorial debut film “All About Evil” which she also wrote about a mousy librarian who discovers her inner serial killer to save the family business- a failing movie house. It stars Thomas Dekker and Natasha Lyonne with Mink Stole and Elivra out of drag, Cassandra Peterson.
Listen as we chat with Peaches Christ about some of our favorite films were dames go bad and which of these films, if any, inspired the villianess of her new movie.

Great show guys, always love it when you talk about movies. I had NO idea that Natasha Lyonne was the girl who dated Edward Furlong (the boy who played John Connor in the second Terminator Movie)
She was also Opal, the little girl on Pee Wee’s Playhouse:

Amazing show!!!
Good show, but All About Evil was filmed in San Francisco. And Midnight Mass was held at the Bridge Theatre not the Victoria where the it was filmed.
Thanks for clarifying that!
LOVE PEACHES CHRIST! She always leads me to some movie I never heard of but enjoy once I see it. Keep up the good work and come to Atlanta on your movie promo tour. Tons of movie loving queers down here.
I adore Peaches Christ and can’t wait for All About Evil! I And if you do go to Atlanta…why not drive a little further and come to Savannah, too!
Loved the show. I second the love of Peaches Christ. Will be on the lookout for the premiere at the castro theater and will see if i can get tickets. I wanted to find some of the more famous movies on iTunes to rent, but apparently they’re not available. And I don’t think we have video stores anymore.
Hey everyone! Great show again! We’re chomping at the bit to see ‘All About Evil’!!!! We laughed our heads off during a long drive in the car yesterday! I think you might have forgotten about one of the possibly most horribly behaved, vengeful women ever, Betty Broderick! The cheese-asaurus rex, made for television, LIFETIME (just wait, it gets better), movie with Meredith Baxter should definitely be on any list of horrid women!
Oh, and we’ve never even heard of ‘I Spit On Your Grave’….needless to say, top of our movie queue! Thanks for another hilarious show!
love bri/bill
Oh, and the banter back and forth about MarTini kills me. Any chance of a Peaches AND MarTini interview??
I love when you have Peaches on…she ranks right up there with Devin and Joel, Cameron, and Bill Cruz as my favorites on the show.
I Spit on Your Grave is in my queue too – as well as The Girl Most Likely to…
I laughed out loud when Peaches was talking about MarTini – she has such amazing comedic timing.
The only villainess I wish you included was Ursula from the Little Mermaid. She’s so amazing!
