For gay, lesbian, bi and trans folks visibility is key to our progress towards equality.

Through the internet, with blogs, youtube, podcasts and twitter- our voices are being heard like never before, and it’s fabulous!

But for some it may not be so obvious how to join in on the discussion. Even worse, they feel may intimidated or lost after they’ve begun.

Today we kick off our series of interviews with well known bloggers who know how make it happen. We’ve got pop culture expert Trish Bendix who works as blog editor for AfterEllen.com – one of the largest sites about lesbian and bisexual women in the media.

Listen as we chat with Trish about the costs of coming out, slacktivism, celesbians, how to avoid getting your site blocked, and how to ignite a passionate discussion without getting burned.
