Closing arguments were made in the landmark Proposition 8 case yesterday in California, where not just the future of marriage equality but gay rights hang in the balance.
Even though the judge in the case is a gay, and the haters’ lawyers argued the case poorly, nobody knows for sure how it’s going to turn out.
A highlight of the closing arguments is the Attorney Charles Cooper ridiculous assertion that keeping same sex couples from marrying and having children was essential for the “survival of the human race.”

Vuvuzelas should not be banned, it takes place in Africa and they should not try to “Europeanize” the African tournament as one Spanish player said.
Usually I don’t watch soccer but the world cup is always so much fun! The sound of the Vuvuzelas I don’t mind at all, many people in Germany bought one and you hear them everywhere during a game, I think it even more fun with the Vuvuzelas.
I agree that it doesn’t seem right to ban Vuvuzelas, specially since it’s a part of the African culture. In large enough numbers however they do become annoying/distracting, not to mention the health risks they present to those around them long enough.
What? Vuvuzelas are not very popular outside South Africa? Here in Brazil I’m driving my car and I hear vuvuzelas, I’m trying to relax at home and I hear vuvuzelas, even at work the guys are imitating vuvuzelas. UGGGGG!
