FOF #1257 – Release the Beiste

Glee’s season premiere kicked butt! Everybody’s favorite TV show about the musical hi-jinks at McKinley High School is back, with plenty of what everyone loves: Jane Lynch, a hot new football player, catfights, Youtube superstar Charice, a down sydndrome actor and the new female football coach called “the Beiste.”

Who is Dot Jones, the actress that plays the butch coach and can we get her to be Mrs. Balbricker in a remake of Porky’s?

Joining us today is Lola Le Cont, a new drag queen on the scene who moved from Puerto Rico to Chicago to pursue a PhD in Biology at Northwestern University. Lola’s got some interesting ideas about Chicago’s drag scene and fills us in on all the hot local gossip on today’s show.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell- last night, Senate Republicans blocked an effort to lift the ban that would allow gays to serve openly in the military.

Lady Gaga has a new policy for the army- kick out all the haters.

Dan Savage launches a new YouTube channel with his husband Terry Miller titled “It Gets Better.” They are asking for videos submission to inspire gay youth.

And sadly the Liberace Museum closes its doors after 31 years, but it’s going on tour. So catch it if you can- too much of a good thing is wonderful.
