Today we’re talking to video blogging sensation Miss Lola Rose. When her two kids came out as gay, she panicked and asked them to remain in the closet to keep up appearances.
Since then, Lola’s come about 180 degrees and fully supports her children and is a proud advocate for Equality. So much in fact, her most popular video “Mom on Her Two Gay Kids” was yanked off of Youtube at the beginning of Pride month when haters flagged it enough times to set off their automated system.
Only because of public outcry was the video brought back up, and it’s because of efforts of people like Lola Rose and her daughter Jill Abrams that the video sharing giant is aware of its shortcomings when dealing with LGBT voices and conservative backlash.

Here is the video that got yanked off of YouTube but was later put back up due to public outcry.

Words cannot begin to describe how much I LOVED this show. Lola is a hoot, and such a joy to hear from. She truly does tell it like it is– no holds barred. I wish more people were like her!

Miss Lola Rose (and Jill Abrams) is one of the key reasons why YouTube is such a hit, because it allows us to discover and find each other. I am kind of saddened that so much slick, big-money content is overshadowing the touching, intimate videos like Lola’s.
We need Miss Lola Rose to keep it real (speak honestly) now more than ever.
She is delightful! There are only two kids in my family and we are both gay! My parents have come around a lot, but they could have used this five years ago!
