I listened to this not that long ago when it first aired, and I thought Tracy sounded kind of bigoted. What’s wrong with a transgendered person choosing not to transition? What’s wrong with being a man in a woman’s body or a woman in a man’s body and choosing not to change the way you were born? What’s wrong with choosing not to assume opposite gender roles as a trans person? I’m not trans, but it seems to me that people ought to be free to be whoever they are, whoever they were born to be without fitting into a label some larger number of people would be more comfortable with, or to identify as whatever or whoever they most identify with.
Why go to this particular support group if you aren’t going to transition to some degree? That’s what this groups is for so why go there to push your agenda on these people?
If you want a group for people comfortable with their own bodies, then go to a nudist camp
I guess we’re all human and have our shortcomings. Even trans people don’t always agree with who belongs inside the walls of “trans.” I’m more on the side with allowing people to flow from one identity to another, at the end love is all that really matters.
