Everyone loves Randall’s “The Crazy Nasty Ass Honey Badger” video, where he chronicles the daily life of the Honey Badger as as it goes about its day devouring beehives and cobras. Today we talk with Randall himself over the phone from his home on the west coast about his love of animals and why he chooses to be so mysterious.

  1. Rei says:

Thanks for the love back Randall! Haha!
And a big cheer for him telling us his last name!
Super glad to be able to hear all about you and how dedicated you are to your work
and your concern for animal life :)
    Lots of love!

  2. Rick says:

I know a few honey badgers! Great show guys.

  3. Than says:

Dick Cheney is the political honey badger. He’ll let terrorists fly planes into buildings for political gain. He’ll shoot his best friend’s face off with a shot gun for sport. He’ll take a shit on the original Bill of Rights, because Dick Cheney just doesn’t give a shit.

  4. RcktMan says:

OMG… the interview was a HOOT! Randall is incredible, and I’m so glad you guys got him on the show!! I’m sitting here at work cracking up like a crazy person. The song at the end… OMG… SO FUNNY!

Hope to have him back on over and over again!

    • It’s so wonderful to hear Randall’s story, how he found his voice and audience after years of frustration with being a playwright. Very inspiring. I really felt a warmth and appreciation from him, which is really energizing for us. It’s not easy doing this show, so getting to meet such a extraordinary person is always a treat for me personally.

Looking forward to reading his book.

  5. Tim says:

So charming and fun! I didn’t realize Randal was a legit wildlife activist. I was also convinced he was the mom from Bob’s Burgers, so glad that was cleared up.

Best of luck with the book, but I don’t think it was ever made clear what the book is actually about! Is it an autobiography? A children’s book about Honey Badgers? Animal encyclopedia?

  6. 300fromRyan says:

Seriously, one of the best interviews you all have done! I’m really shocked it’s not Brian Safi. And I love how concerned Randall is w/ wildlife and how he is as sassy as I only would hope he would be.

BTW, of course the Wolverine is related to the Honey Badger. Fausto, they are definitely not cute though. They wait in trees for unsuspecting moose to walk under, jump onto the back of their necks, bite them, and kill them!

And I keep forgetting to say it, so here it is. I love who the introduction appears as text now when I click the alternative time track on my ipod.

You always do nice work boys, but this seriously surpasses “nice.”

Any reasons why people don’t want to join + after this?

  7. C says:

The mystery is revealed! Thank you Randall, and thank you Mark and Fausto! Awesome show!

  8. When I found out you guys finally managed to get Randall on the show after the first failed attempt months ago I was very excited!

and what a delight Randall was, He was a lot more “open” about everything and more easy-going than I though he would be, what with all the fame and everything he has gotten. As other’s have said, I was surprised that he is an animal activist of sorts with a background in animal things, and truly cares about all animals in general, because in the videos he does he kind of mock/teases/gets grossed out by some of the traits the animals have, so I kind of thought it was all a big joke to him, but it is nice to know that he truly cares for these animals, and I hope his voice can somehow speak out for animal rights, or at least get people’s attention…

He seems to be going in a direction that will make him happy and I wish him all the success!

  9. John S says:

    Best interview ever.

  10. Kaitlyn531 says:

This interview was awesome! LOVE this! I can’t wait for him to be back on again!

Hey Marc, do you think you could post the link to that news story on the Jersey Shore scholar convention? :P I’m actually interested in reading those articles you talked about LOL
