The guys from Rye Bread Radio are back to talk about bromance- that tabloid word for relationships between guys who seem so close to each other that it may lead them to ask themselves, am I gay for my best friend?

FOF #1573 – How to Find Sex on the Internet – 04.27.12

Loved both of the shows with these very funny guys.
This was a really irritating show. These guys seem so sexist.. And not very sensitive either! Who uses the word “clean” to describe someone with HIV/AIDS or other STDs?! AND… who laughs about CERVICAL CANCER?! Yes, a lot of people have HPV, but come ON. Do you really want to be responsible for a woman to get cervical cancer because “you’re a man [so it doesn't negatively impact me, even though it actually can because HPV is also responsible for genital warts and can still pass on HPV to other women who then CAN get cervical cancer], haha cervical cancer”?? Please. I wish Marc and Fausto had stood up for us women. I get that I’m a minority here for being a woman listening to a gay podcast, but I’ve been a loyal listener since I was in high school, since episode 400. I’m a paid subscriber. I didn’t pay to hear a bunch of privileged insensitive “dudes” talk about their sexist double standards and insensitivity to women’s issues. I really liked their previous episode because they came off as intelligent, critical free-thinkers, but this one REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. This episode definitely did not come off as female friendly at all. Remember, a lot of homophobia stems directly from sexism and the idea that femininity is less valuable than masculinity. You can’t get combat homophobia without combating sexism too, and I was very disappointed that there wasn’t really anything said in defense of women, other than the one comment by Fausto in reference to a double standard in sexual partners.
Sorry we hurt your feelings.
