One of the hot topics of the past year has been teen suicide and bullying in schools. With all the media attention focused on our youth have things actually changed?

Today comedian and openly gay public school teacher Meg O’Rourke joins us to follow up on her anti-bullying work within the Chicago Public School system.

Fausto made a good point about the Nazi fashion in Thailand and that in most East Asian countries there are usually not many people of different colour or from other countries. It may be one reason why Japan or Korea are so racist. When I lived in Japan I have never had problems as Japanese are usually friendly towards Europeans but quite racists towards other Asians and black people. For example people who are born in Japan but whose parents are from Korea need a special ID card which is only for foreigners although they are born in Japan. In Korea the situation is not much better or even worse although they are welcoming foreign workers as Korea is besides Taiwan and Japan the fastest aging country in the world.

Who will go the cinema if they raise prices for movie tickets? They should lower the prices as it is easier to watch movie online these days.

It’s called island effect, and it applies equally to fish in a fishbowl and Manhattan.

You could just rent The Hunger Games and be fine.

Fausto, load up on vitamins. You still sound sick.

  4. great show! It’s good to know some progress has been made to stop bullying in schools, and I have to say I’m glad I got out of grade school(middle school-high school) before No Child Left Behind took such a huge toll on the public school system, because back when I was in school, it wasn’t so bad then, I got a good education which helped me towards getting into an art college and I wasn’t tested to death.

Just to clarify, deadmau5 (pronounced deadmaus btw) did not perform at the ULTRA music festival when Madonna made that comment, she was on stage with another DJ called AVICII during his performance, he was the headliner that evening so his show got a lot of attention, so that’s probably how deadmau5 found out about it. He claims he’s neither pro-drugs or anti-drugs, I think he does not want to take a strong stance on either side, but the drug culture has damaged the electronic dance music scene quite a bit, but now that EDM music is becoming more mainstream, many artists like deadmau5 are trying to distant their music and image from that drug culture…
