Being a nerd has gone mainstream. Having an interest in what was considered unpopular or obscure has grown into a billion dollar business. Swept up in the nerd wave are LGBT folks who are becoming more visible in TV, film and comics.

Today we’re taking a look at nerd culture, comic book superheroes and our fascination with strong muscle gods. Who are your favorite superheroes, and why?

Queer comic book tycoon Zan Christensen from Northwest Press joins us to talk about the growing field of queer comic books and how to cruise for guys at comic book conventions.
