One of the most talked about moments from the last season of RuPaul’s Drag Race was when Willam Belli got kicked off the show for “breaking the rules.” What really happened?

  1. Than says:

I don’t really pay attention to RPDR, and this interview did not make me fan of Willam.

  2. Mahogany laundrette says:

    Idiot

  3. funtimeinsd says:

    Riddle? More like Tom Riddle

  4. Andy says:

First thanks for asking my question!
I enjoyed the interview but I think William is kinda superficial and arrogant. Probably you need to be like that if you want to become famous and survive in the entertainment business but I would have liked to hear more direct, honest answers from him.

  5. willam says:

    hi Andy.
Drop the “kinda” and you have an accurate statement.
    love,
    WILLAM
p.s. sorry if i seem over it and don’t garner any additional fans. I’m done with the what did Willam do questions that I’ve been subjected to at a consistent rate.

    • Love you, WILLAM! :-)
You gave your answer with no proof to suggest you are lying, but everyone seems to think there was another reason. Just because someone thinks one of Rupaul’s rules are silly doesn’t mean she doesn’t enforce them.

You have a lot of fans that appreciate your superficiality and arrogance, as well as your beauty and humor. Drag Race was just a stepping stone. I have my eye on you, young lady.

    • You have a lot to offer and I’m glad we had the time to cover it in this interview. Just think you’ll be able to look back on these days and think wow, this was just the beginning.

I’m so sorry that after the interview was taped, I discovered you played Nomi Malone in the Drag Queen Showgirls, which would have been amazing to talk about, since we are huge fans of the movie and pretty much talk about it on every show, except this one. Whoops! My bad.

      Let’s do lunch at Spago’s.

    • Derek says:

Ah I’m the one Willam really wanted to get an interview from (I got his agents contact information over Twitter by mistake ;) ) But Fausto and Marc and do it better than I ever could.

This would be the first interview that I’ve been able to hear where the conversation with Willam wasn’t limited to very limited one liners and quips. This was really enjoyable to listen to.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the interview for me was hearing Willam talking about how his experience in the industry and his plans to do well in it. These are the kind of conversations I have daily with people in the corporate world but it’s rare for me to hear a very matter of fact “how I’m marketing myself” from an actor (Agents and publicists I’m sure do that and discuss it on a daily basis but actors … “Oh my fans Muah!” Come on you got those fans somehow)

Willam my partner and I first saw you in Ticked off Trannies with Knives and when we finally got around to starting this season of Drag Race we both kept staring at you trying to figure out what show we had just watched you in. In both cases we enjoyed your work quite a bit!

I’m watching for future greatness from you.

  6. Nathan Goh says:

    Love, love, love Willam!

  7. I came into this interview being a fan of Willam. I enjoy his smart/stupid character that he played on RPDR and TOTWK. Maybe he is right that you need to see his face to get the joke, because he did come across as rude. I will agree that the “what did Willam do” questions were tired, but he was short from the beginning. Kinda bummed after listening. Maybe from now on I’ll just watch what he is in, and not listen to what comes out of his mouth. Like Tom Cruise, or Mel Gibson.
