What do you guys think about Apple breaking out the Podcasts app for iOS? How do you think it will affect your show? Do you have any insights into what will happen with podcasts in the overhaul of iTunes coming later this year? Do you think they’ll ever allow you to monetize podcasts directly?
I missed the facebook question thing (because I never check FB enough) but since I’ve been listening to this podcast since 2006, I can’t pick just one moment/one thing I learned…so many to choose from!
Yeah I’m beginning to think that these might be covert advertising for the brands. Hugs and kisses to you Chicken Girl!
Shhhh! Don’t tell the right-wing religious nut-jobs these ads are fake! We want them to boycott everything so they eventually starve.
But seriously, great episode. You had great tips listed for podcasting.
Hey… thanks for the tip on taking care of overzelous fans by giving them chores to do. I just had some guy wanting a complimenatry massage because he is “28years old and athletic and short of $”
I remembered your podcast and said ‘I am sure you would find it unfair if someone asked you to do your job for free, so please don’t ask me to do mine for free. But if you will do four loads of laundry, wash my dishes and clean my two bathrooms I would exchange a 90 minute massage after I am done with my next two clients’
His response “Thanks, I will contact you when I get paid”.
Now I can laugh without feeling a tad pissed off.
You’ll never hear from him again.
Dang, I’m finally getting caught up on the last two months of podcasts! I missed listening to you guys on a regular basis, but hearing y’all talk about health care reform got me down, because my best friend who passed away back in June was suffering from multiple medical conditions and had astronomical hospital bills near the end. Living as I do now in a country with socialized medicine, it just magnifies the injustice of it all.
That’s so sad. I know a few people who have died because they didn’t have healthcare.
