For the record: I didn’t give a whit about this show until I started listening here to Marc and Fausto – LITERALLY, after watching the 1st episode of All-Stars, I absolutely had to listen to this pod-cast. Rupaul, Michelle, Santino, the Pit (<– yea, PIT cuz I heard that show too) Crew and the stars (mimi included) have truly become something emerging little by little into main-stream culture – thanks to all of 'em for putting themselves up for praise (at times) and shade (at times) — the whole kit/kaboodle of it all.
Of all the all-stars, Mimi is my favorite to watch and my favorite to listen to on the podcast. If I lived in the States, Mimi is the one that I would be most excited to see. I hated the teams. Both Mimi and Pandora’s Box deserved a chance to perform on their own. At least the editing makes Mimi look good whereas it looks like the editing wants us to hate Pandora’s Box. I wish I could have been on the cruise ship instead of watching this boring first episode online!
I definitely think Mimi was vindicated. She was working hard and doing her best. It was really difficult to watch Pandora be so cruel towards her. Reading is fundamental, but Pandora wasn’t reading. Just being cunty. The Mimi smackdown on Untucked made me incredibly uncomfortable. It gave me flashbacks to middle school. Not cute.
Mimi and Pandora’s only hope was to work together. Mimi held up her end of that. Pandora failed.
I didn’t watch the episode, so I can’t really comment on it, but I think Mimi is an awesome person, and it sucks she’s been sort of been shoved on this pedestal to be someone for other people to hate. It’s good she is doing her best to turn it into something positive and just roll with the punches! I wish her luck!
i’m telling you, package all the drag race interviews into an “album” and sell the shit out of it. If Carrie Bradshaw can turn her column into several books you can do the same with interviews (i know, i know, you’re real and Carrie isn’t, but it sounds good!).
