People are madly in love with their coffee. Over half of all Americans start their day with a cup of coffee and many of those folks drink at least two cups every day.

Today comedian and barista Ever Mainard joins us to talk about her hair raising adventures working at a 24 hour coffee shop, why heroin addicts love to shoot up in their bathrooms and why hipsters hate on Starbucks so damn much.

A 25 mile radius around Santa Fe Springs, California would include the entire greater Los Angeles area from Burbank to Irvine. Those 500+ Starbucks are serving 10 million people.

Marc, on what is your conviction based that soy beans cause breast cancer, because it sure sounded like you just pulled that out of your ass, like premium coffee beans.

Johnny Tremain was the Revolutionary War. He worked for a silversmith and his hand was severely burned by molten silver.

Sorry. One of my favorite books growing up. Had to make the correction.

o.0 WHAT a ridiculous gynecologist! “Hymie”? And… ugh, omigod, such ignorance. The hymen is NOT an impenetrable shield against all infection. That an alleged medical professional touted this is frightening.

Also, not to be a hipster, but “hymen” is so last century. Due to its actual structure, a series of folds rather than a membrane (which is what root of hymen means, “veil” or “membrane”), some Swedish researchers have proposed it be renamed a “corona”. Which also opens up all sorts of delightful joke possibilities in relation to Corona brand beer: “Where You’d Rather Be”, anyone? ;)

  4. so what do we disagree on? Ive been researching and some types of soy are really bad like soy protein isolate, and others like tofu are not as bad as people like me been making it out to be.
