The 2013 Oscars paid tribute to music in cinema by bringing together actors from three Oscar winning musicals of the last decade — Chicago, Dreamgirls, and Les Miserables Miserables.

Was this the Oscars or the Tonys?

All the fabulous divas made an appearance: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Adele and Jennifer Hudson, prompting many to call it the gayest Oscars ever.

But if you google the phrase “Gayest Oscars Ever” you’ll find that every year the Academy Awards is called that by somebody, and really should come out of the closet already.

Joining us today is comedian Rob Anderson to take a look at all the closeted celebrities at this year’s Oscars: Moms are the new beard, Russell Crowe can’t sing on key, Adele and Melissa McCarthy are the same person, and forget about getting on the best or worst dressed list- celebrities now worry if their fashion choices will go viral.

  1. every year I tell myself “I’m not gonna bother watching the Oscars, I’ve only seen a couple of the movies that are up for awards” but then I end up watching the entire thing anyways. Plus my twitter feed end ups live-tweeting the Oscars.

There have been a lot of people saying Seth Macfarlane was the worst host ever and his jokes were offensive and blah blah blah, but as Fausto said, it was like watching a really long unfunny episode of Family Guy. so eh, I didn’t find myself offended by any of his jokes that were mostly unfunny. I wasn’t bored to death as I usually am when I watch the Oscars though.

The only disappointment for me was Brave winning best animated feature. I really didn’t like it and I was honestly surprised it won, critics didn’t like it, most of the animation community in the industry didn’t like it, besides those awful Cars movies, I’d say it was one of Pixar’s worst films, but oh well.

loved having Rob on the show to talk about the Oscars with you guys! He’s a lot of fun, you should bring him back to the show in the future. :)
