The popular online community 4chan declared January 6th to be YouTube Porn Day to extract revenge on behalf of the little boy by asking everyone to upload innocent looking videos mixed with grotesque porn images to make the video sharing giant working overtime to take it down.

The way YouTube reacts to things like this makes me think it’s run by a handful of petty, immature people.

We’re not sure if the prank had any impact, but I’m personally hoping it sent a message to Google to allow users who have had their accounts or videos taken down unfairly to be able to do something about it. How about offering phone or email support for a small fee like Apple does for all their products? I shudder to know what tech support for the Nexus One is like.

What a miserable year! As 2009 comes to an end, we’re reminded of what a terrible year it was for not just the nation, but for gay folks as well.

Our hopes for the equality promised by President Obama were dashed as hate ran rampant across the world. What happened?

Some of the highlights include- Carrie Prejean’s opposite marriage, manipulative sports officials leaking the inter-sex status of champion Semenaya, and politicians caving into the demands of fundamentalists with regards to marriage equality.

But it’s not all bad- 2009 was also a year where millions of people felt empowered to stand up and say “I want my rights.” More people came out of the closet and a lot of people had some sexy good times.

The film Frost/Nixon received several Oscar nominations for the portrayal of David Frost’s famous interview with disgraced President Richard Nixon.

After seeing Frank Langella’s master performance as President Richard Nixon in the film, I have to say Sean Penn is going to have a run for his money in order to win the “Best Actor” award. Still, I think “Milk” will win best picture hands down because Hollywood loves a good cause.

Ted Haggard’s former church seems anxious that their fallen leader might be try to con the public with the documentary because Brady Boyd, the pastor who succeeded Haggard says that his church settled with a Denver male prostitute who came forward with an “overwhelming pool of evidence” of a three year sexual relationship with the Haggard.

It sounds like the New Life Church is trying to wash their hands of him once and for all.

Why is it so much fun to tease straight men? One pastime we gay men seem to enjoy is obsessing over the intangible nature of mixed orientation relationships.

On today’s show we have two very funny guys, comedians from the Sarcastic Squad Adam Guerino and his straight best friend Eric Lutz. Adam is gay, Eric is not.

Or so he says.

Maybe dragging Eric onto our show is a way for Adam to help his friend come out of the closet, or maybe, just maybe it’s just his way of bringing over some white hot man-candy.

Will Eric come out? Or will he stay in the closet? Whatever the outcome, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the show.

It seems all the great comedians are coming out of the closet these days. Wanda Sykes, star of Pootie Tang, was at the “No on prop 8 rally in Las Vegas this past Saturday and said:

“I am proud to be a black woman and I’m proud to be gay… How can you stop people from loving each other? How can you get upset because of love? Gay is not a choice. That’s like telling me I chose to be a woman, I chose to be black. Are we saying that if being gay is a choice, then people are straight because they chose not to be gay?”

We are excited about the the fantastic turn out at gay rights rallies that took place across the country this past weekend. it shows that although we have a lot of hard work ahead of us, we are motivated for change.

The next rally in the Chicago area is on Saturday Nov. 22 at 5PM at 1715 Maple St. in Evanston, IL to protest Alan Stock, CEO of the Cinemark Company, who gave nearly $10,000 to Prop 8. We have to hold these people accountable for their bigotry and show the good people of America that we are here.

We had an astrologer on the show way back in March of 2006 and he was probably the most reviled guests we have ever had on the show. Yes, even more so than the Gay Republican. We sometimes repost the show just because the people’s reaction was to him was so bad and it’s a joy to read the comments.

No one ordered strippers for the birthday celebration but when two cops arrived after midnight to quiet down the party they quickly found themselves greeted by a round of applause. The revelers thought they were a surprise and who can blame them? Most German cops are in great shape and look stunning in uniform. Woof!
