She announced on Facebook-

“For those who care, and I understand if you don’t: Today I quit being a Christian. I’m out. I remain committed to Christ as always but not to being ‘Christian’ or to being part of Christianity. It’s simply impossible for me to ‘belong’ to this quarrelsome, hostile, disputatious, and deservedly infamous group. For ten years, I’ve tried. I’ve failed. I’m an outsider. My conscience will allow nothing else.”

She is also the mother of gay novelist Christopher Rice who we interviewed in March of 2008.

Josh’s controversial costume has recently come into a lot of controversy because it incorporated two clear water-filled acrylic spheres holding a goldfish in each as part of his costume and as the cover of his new book “I Am Not Myself These Days.”

PETA (that’s People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals… shouldn’t it be called PFTETA?) ain’t too happy with this, and so their cute representative Mike Brazell makes an earnest plea for all future drag queens out there to NOT use animals of any kind in their costumes. We ain’t kidding.

Also known as Aqua, he worked his routine with our very own Miss Understood at Lucky Chang’s, a popular drag-entertainment Asian restaurant in New York City. Aqua won many contests, but the wild thing about her life is the excess of her existence-booze, drugs, hooker parties, bondage freaks and a hustler boyfriend.
