Many women would kill for the role of Grandmama in the all new The Addams Family musical, but Jackie Hoffman says she’s pissed because she doesn’t get to sing her own song and her stage time is being whittled down to next to nothing.

So while she’s in town, she’s doing double duty in her comedy cabaret show “Whining in the Windy City” which promises to skewer everything that is merry for the holidays with biting, fearless stand up comedy and original songs. Jackie’s going to spill the beans on working on Broadway and dish the dirt on her comedy peers from Chicago like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, and the Sedaris siblings who, as she says, are now more famous than she is.

She’s hilarious and hateful, and she’s in the home studio. Look out!

Jackie doesn’t hold back her true feelings about the new Addams Family musical, her funniest moment on stage ever and why the holidays and children are so annoying to her.

We met Jonny Stax about four years ago at one of our last pre-podcast shows we did at Schubas, where he haggled with a woman for a purple Feast of Fools t-shirt that we gave away from the stage. The t-shirt didn’t even have the “.net” added to it to refer to the website.

I remember making this t-shirt with Marc and how good we thought the colors looked together. It looked like a little Mardi Gras. It’s so nice to see our baby come home for a visit! These t-shirts do hold up against time, so you know that they will hold up at least four years down the road.

Did you check out Will Smith and David Letterman’s same sex kiss? The hunky actor dazzled the late night talk show host Monday when we went on to promote his new film, when all of a sudden the two men found themselves kissing each other.

Will Smith must be making up for taking the bad advice of homophobe actor Denzel Washington to not do a gay kiss in the film “Six Degrees of Seperation” despite the gay kiss being crucial to the plot. And poor Paul Schaffer will just have to play the keyboards alone tonight.

Holly Woodlawn was one of the first breakout Andy Warhol Superstars -people who were famous in New York in the late 70′s for being their outrageous selves, and for being in his (actually Paul Morrisey’s) films. They’re the ones who started the saying “Famous for Fifteen Minutes,” which mean that fame was short-lived and that celebrites had a tendency to burn bright and die young. What makes Holly Woodlawn even more extraordinary is that she has outlasted a lot of her peers because of luck, sheer will, and a generous optimism and love for humanity.
