I saw reports of the Baby Gaga ice-cream made out of breast milk circulating but I didn’t blog about it because, while I’m an advocate of breast feeding, this just looked liked a publicity stunt and not a very interesting one. It’s been done- paint, yogurt, cheese, kefir have all been made from mother’s milk.

But now, it gets interesting because the government has swooped in an confiscated the ice cream over concerns that the milk may spread viruses like hepatitis.

The owner of the ice-cream shop says that all the mothers have been meticulously screened at the same level as blood donors, and that “If the ice cream is not safe, then these mothers pose a serious risk to their babies.” But I say that’s their own personal concern and not a concern to the public at large and there is a huge difference between enjoying a tasty treat and receiving life saving blood.

Puppeteer and performance artist Marsian De Lellis is fascinated with creating stories in which childhood icons meet a tragic end. On the weekend of May 7- Marisan will perform “Fudgie’s Death” an excerpt from “Growing Up Linda” a puppet play based on his fictitious take on the Carvel Ice Cream family.

You may recall Marsian’s insightful take on the Lady Gaga and Grace Jones debate, or you may remember his earlier appearance this year when he introduced his other work “The Bride of Wildenstein” about the odd looking plastic surgery addict and New York City socialite, Jocelyn Wildenstein.

In that show we made our predictions for 2010, and eerily enough, most of them have come true already. Celebrities wanting to be un-retouched on magazine covers, Apple’s iPad seen as a source of revenue for print publishing companies and Susan Boiling, the act of comparing any homely viral video star to the British reality TV singing sensation.

Today we celebrate 11 years of fabulous shows, once as Feast of Fools, today as Feast of Fun. We’ve managed to dig up a very special guest from way back when, the tragically glamorous Victoria Lamarr!

Back when we started the podcast in 2005, one of our early guests was Matthew Bogseth, a drag queen who went by the name of Victoria Lamarr. Later that year Matthew was in hospital from complications of AIDS.

What was initially a fund to buy Victoria flowers grew large enough to buy her a refurbished iMac. As Victoria Lamarr, Matthew used his computer to create a dozen short movies about her glamorous drag queen life while living in her modest low income apartment building.

Before there was YouTube and video podcasts on iTunes, Victoria Lamarr was one of the first drag queen podcasters and to our knowledge the first person living with full blown AIDS to video blog.

Victoria’s last in-person appearance on the show was taped at the Apple Store in downtown Chicago, where we parodied Steve Jobs and Madonna’s video conference at the MacWorld Keynote.

Shortly after that program, Matthew fell into a severe depression and relapsed into drug and alcohol addiction. He moved to Florida to escape his toxic family and abusive boyfriend and three years later Matthew has been sober for seven months. He’s moving back to Chicago to find a new career and rekindle his past friendships.

Little Miss Vicki is in the home studio answering your questions through Facebook, and plans to hopefully return to Chicago to find a new life and rekindle past friendships.
