This is Ryan with 300 words (or less) to make your Monday a little less taxing.
Everyone has that one present they will never forget. My uncle gave me mine in 2005.
The gift: all-expense paid weekend to Chicago.
The significance: to teach me how to plan a trip (booking flights, scheduling tickets, and time/cost management).
A highlight of the trip was to experience The Second City comedy club production Red Scare. Part of the performance included a few skits involving tragic deaths of Shakespearian characters introduced with the following line:
“[Their] fate could have been avoided if they had a sassy gay friend.”
Still quoted today, my friend and I have bonded from that experience and are now inseparable. I hope you will enjoy these skits as much as we have.
