For such a small country, New Zealand has a remarkably long list of mainstream movie ties. Two secondary characters in the upcoming film “Green Lantern”, Thomas Kalmaku and Abin Sur, are played by notable Kiwis Taika Waititi (pictured above) and Temuera Morrison, respectively.
Taika Waititi (pronounced tye-ka why-tee-tee) is better known for directing offbeat films like “Eagle vs Shark” and “Boy”, but appears onscreen occasionally, even taking his clothes off in a role on the series “The Strip” about a male strip club (which sadly I can only find a few stills from).
Temuera Morrison is even harder to catch looking hot, as he frequently appears onscreen swathed in prosthetics (most recently as Abin Sur) or in alien bounty hunter gear (as Jango Fett in Star Wars), or engaged in such unsavory activities as wife-beating (as Jake Heke in Once Were Warriors). Found at least one good topless pic, though!
