The Man
Lawrence Dia, Northwestern University student with way too much time on his hands.
His Mission
Julie Powell managed to cook/blog her way through all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s cookbook in a year, learning valuable life lessons along the way. He hoped to learn as much, if not more, by watching the film Julie & Julia every day for a year.
What Lawrence Learned
On his final blog post Lawrence reveals that he learned structure in one’s life is important, that being good at one specific thing gives meaning to one’s life and that doing stupid things makes others very happy. All very noble thoughts.
The pervs and Jane Lynch Fans among you may enjoy Day 307 where he discuss the best times in the movie to jerk off.

Hilarious! But how many times can you watch a movie before you go insane?
Fuck, Northwestern’s reputation is going down the drain. Those “lessons” from the movie are pretty much cliches found in all movies you could easily get watching once. What a waste of time.
Hilarious but true. He should have watched Showgirls every day for a year.
Hold on a second, I have watched Showgirls every day for ten years! Where’s my motion picture?
I want Henry Cavil to play me, but he needs to give me a private audition first. You know, so we can recreated the rehearsal scene between Nomi and Cristal, and find out if he’s a whore or not.
