For the University of Michigan’s most advanced TV production class, I directed this pilot episode of “Ready 4.”
The idea was to combine “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” & “The Office” to give something familiar but surprising in a sit-com.
The synopsis:
When Nicola receives a job on a failing morning show, the crew’s enthusiastic slacker, Caleb, accidentally becomes the center of the new girl’s attention in the midst of unfortunate accidents which forces Caleb to do what he likes least: work.
Does it work? What are your thoughts? Could you picture Peaches Christ appearing as an axe murderess guest?
