Donna Summer, the queen of disco whose career spanned four decades and earned her multiple number one hits and five Grammy awards, has died after a long battle with cancer, she was 63.

I never followed her music career as a fan, too young, but I’ve heard all her big hits on the radio, so I am familiar with her music and it’s always sad to see a diva pass on who was so influential to the music scene.
63 is still relatively young, another music idol lost to cancer, earlier we lost Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, he too died after a long battle with cancer, and was only 47 years old. sad sad sad.
