I don’t remember which podcast it was (but it was a recent one, and I’m too lazy to listen to them again to see which), but Marc was telling Fausto not to bring boxes of cookies home. Fausto was saying he likes baking cookies too much to just go out and buy one. SO, I happened upon a post about freaky people and their weird couch-cushion, dirt, tissue paper, and cornstarch (I think they are doing it to be on TV actually, but anyway). On that cornstarch eater posting on Jezebel.com, a lady posted about these traditional, Brazilian cookies called ”sequilhos,” which are made with cornstarch, among other things. {See the link for the recipe and more background.}
These little cookies, the eating of which seems to be almost a Brazilian national past-time if you look them up online, are also GLUTEN-FREE! So, there you go Marc and Fausto. Marc can eat some of them without feeling guilty (or whatever the other consequences of eating gluten might be), and Fausto can satisfy his sweet tooth and baking addiction. I’m making some tonight cause the reviews online rave about them. Eat well!
**P.S. You don’t have to eat them with ice cream, Marc. The site that’s linked does that, but that’s not the traditional way. I just chose that site cause it’s pretty. Also, you guys have been looking for another tostones video, right…..**

I hate proof-reading, but I’ll try harder next time.
P.S. It says use 3/4 cup sugar, but I’ve used as little as 1/2 cup or even 1/4 cup without it ruining the consistency or anything. I like my cookies rich but not overly sweet.
So, I made them, and you’ll need to limit yourself to two at a time taken with a LOT of milk because those cookies, although tasty, are DRY DRY DRY. I am a Cookie Monster, but I ate two and had had enough. Also, eat them as a stand-alone snack cause they will expand in your stomach and prevent you from eating anything else. That said, they are not bad.
