Howard Brown CEO Resigns and CFO Is on Leave

The CEO and CFO of Howard Brown Heath Center, one of the nation’s largest LGBT healthcare organizations, were both put on leave from their jobs and the CEO Cook later resigned.

The haven’t really said what all the fuss is about but this guy who worked there 25 years ago seems to think he may know what’s up- that they were put on leave for transferring a grant, which can sometimes be incredibly large sums of money, to Northwestern University. Read about that here in “An Open Letter to the Board and Supporters of the Howard Brown Health Center,” and FYI, a “PI” is “The Principal Investigator,” the person who is chiefly responsible for carrying out the operations of a grant.

The CEO Cook resigned and WCT reports that “He cited internal disagreements about ongoing responsibilities and duties” but never with a direct quote, rather, he cites “personal family matters” as the reason for leaving. So what’s up, is it personal or professional?
