Hatecrimes Fiasco in Puerto Rico
As reported on towleroad, a young gay boy, George Steven Lopez Mercado has been brutally murdered, dismembered and decapitated. His body was dumped on the side of a road. The police response includes a public statement that basically blames the kid and suggests that gay people not only deserve this, but should expect it. So much for Federal Hate Crimes legislation. Doesn’t Puerto Rico have to abide by Federal statutes?
It is bizarre to me that people are so threatened by a nelly faggot that they feel that this extreme level of violence is necessary.
