After every big snow in Chicago you’ll find people that place chairs or other unique items in the street parking spot that they dug out of the snow. It’s a big point of contention with some folks but even Mayor Daley has unofficially sanctioned putting “dibs” on a spot.

To deal with the problem, Chair Free Chicago has created these signs that you can place on your street to declare it a “chair free zone.”
And if people still put out chairs, you can place these notices on the placeholders.
Still, I’m with the mayor, I wouldn’t mess with anyone’s chair and not expect some damage to my car.
