Photos from Jim Verraros and Bill Brennan’s Fabulous Gay Wedding

We were thrilled to join our friend Jim Verraros and his now husband Bill Brennan in Oak Brook, Illinois this weekend for their fabulous wedding ceremony in Oakbrook, Illiinois on Sunday, Sept. 6.

Jim is best known for being one of the top 10 finalists in the first season of the TV show American Idol. We interviewed Jim several years ago on our podcast, and quickly became fast friends. Listen to show #417 and #531.

Marc and I consider ourselves very lucky to have been there in person to experience the emotional, playful and intimate wedding ceremony, and hope the pictures convey the joyful feeling that was held by everyone who was there.

Although same-sex marriages are still not legal in Illinois, they decided to tie the knot anyways. But love doesn’t wait, and Jim & Bill decided to hold the wedding as a “reflection of our love and commitment to each other as well as a statement to other gay couples in Illinois.”

In Jim’s own words: “”I knew with Bill that I wanted to ‘marry,’ him. I put ‘marry,’ only because, sadly it isn’t legal in Illinois yet, but we’re hopeful that the time is near. Looking back on our four years together, we’ve come so far and grown so close together. He’s not only my partner, but my confidante, my soul mate, my best friend, and the love of my life.”

We wish them a happy honeymoon and a fabulous life together full of love, peace and joy, and sexy times of course!
