Meredith Baxter, most famous as the Mom from the 80′s hit TV show “Family Ties” and who played the older sister on one of my favorite 70′s dramas “Family” has come out publicly as a lesbian. She made three attempts at heterosexual marriage all that failed (as most heterosexual unions are wont to do) and then found a red hot momma of her own who taught her the joys of same sex lovin’.
It seems that tabloid exploitation may have been the driving force behind her decision to go public, but honesty, regardless of her motivation, coming out will be its own reward! I’m glad she acknowledges and embraces that coming out is a political act. Bravo.
