Last Saturday Berlin gay pride parade with more than 600 000 people and around 50 trucks and groups of costumed marchers and dancers took place. Judith Butler, a  respected American leftist feminist intellectual who teaches at Berkeley also took part and was honoured at the parade. Moreover in German newspaper it was mentioned that Judith Butler stayed at the famous 5 Star Hotel “Adlon” in Berlin. Guess who payed for it?

I think Fausto is right when he said on the show we should be happy that gay pride is what it is nowadays. Even it is more commercial but we can celebrate gay pride without having to fear the police or attacks from other people and for one day the city belongs to us.

Unfortunately I could not take part at the Berlin gay pride parade due to work this year. But If you want to enjoy a great gay parade in Europe I think Berlin gay parade is one best.
