Magic Crystal Ball Says: Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Loses Job in November

Come November there are going to be several elections that will be watched very closely. With the economy down, and the hyperbole running high on both sides, its not too far fetched to predict there might be some major changes coming down the pipeline. For the most part, everyone seems to be predicting the second coming of the apocalypse, err Republicans. But there is one election which might be reversed, as in a scenario where a Republican will lose their elected position.

Say hello to Arizona’s Republican Governor Jan Brewer, champion of the “papers please” state.

With Arizona’s recent legislative commitment to racist immigration control tactics, aka SB1070, the Governor has been haphazardly thrust into the national spotlight. Her clumsy statements and lackluster speaking skills may just be the thing that costs her the governorship she is campaigning to keep, and as Rachel Maddow reported on her show last night, it just keeps getting worse for her.

Politicians are notorious for constantly dodging questions. Especially when the answer to those questions are damaging. But in a recent debate with Brewer’s challenger, Democrat Terry Goddard, she was not so gracefully dodging a persistent question about the validity of statements she has made regarding Arizona beheadings in the desert. Frankly, this is the kind of clumsy speaking that loses elections.
