Dame Elizabeth Had Beauty in Her Genes… Gene Mutation Anyway
Dame Elizabeth apparently had a very rare genetic mutation of her FOX2 gene (Foxy gene) which caused her to have double rows of eyelashes. Her lashes were so thick that Roddy McDowell said that the producers of Lassie Come Home demanded that all the eye makeup be removed from Miss Taylor’s eyes (she was a very young kid then) when she arrived on set.
Can you imagine in this age of Toddlers and Tiaras that producers would have no stomach for kids with makeup? Anyway, after rubbing her eyes with wet towels for a while (poor baby), they realized that she was wearing no eye makeup. She was BORN to be beautiful.

Call Charles Xavier!
She just continues to amaze us doesn’t she?
She was certainly stunning, but she was also generous and caring. In the past year, she signed two photographs for me and my film students. The second one arrived just two days before she went into the hospital for the last time. I just love her. We all do, don’t we?
