  1. This will probably be my all time favorite drag queen tribute to Amy Winehouse. La Pequeña captured perfectly her tragic, fuck the world attitude and he kooky camp.

It is too early for some black humor? Her epitaph could say: “They said I should go back to rehab but I said No~,no~,no~”

  3. Beryl Mendelbaum’s status: AFTER YEARS OF STRANGE HAIRDOS, BIZARRE APPEARANCE & BEHAVIOR ,DRUG ABUSE ,ALCOHOL ABUSE , CANCELLED SHOWS, SLURRED AND RAMBLING INTERVIEWS AND INCOHERENT SINGING ……..LADY BUNNY JUST KEEPS ROLLING ALONG ……… AS FOR THAT NICE AMY WINEHOUSE HOWEVER ,THINGS TOOK A BIT OF A BAD TURN TODAY

  4. Chickengirl says:

I am sorry but Mimi Imfurst’s comment made me me chuckle.

Its hard for me to feel sorry for her, when people have no respect for their own health, drink excessively and do drugs, which eventually leads to their demise, its just hard to pity them. Maybe there were other factors in her life that made it hard, but I don’t think she had a really hard life such as abusive people in her life or something like that? I dunno, I never really cared enough about her to educate myself about her life :/

now I haven’t been watching TV very much, but it seems like the media is focusing more attention on her death than the horrible tragedy that happened in Norway, but I might be wrong.

    • That’s the nature of addiction. it’s hard to explain or understand, you almost have live through it to understand.

    • It’s almost too painful to focus on the massacre of children in Norway by some conservative nutjob. What’s even scarier is how much he sounds like many Republicans here in the U.S.

Since it is mentioned here I would like to comment on it. I think you are right, Fausto. It is very painful to focus on it but it is also ncessary because in my opition it is a wake up call for Europe. As I wrote on another forum the tragic attack by a right-wing Christian fundamentalist in Norway should be a wake up call for Europe! Not Muslim fundamentalists but the conservative right-wing is the biggest threat for Europe at the moment.Just look at the extreme right-wing parties in Netherlands, Denmark and Finnland who are even part of the goverment.

Another thing which I noticed and disturbs me that particular the right-wing media refuses to call the guy a terrorist. They often call him a murder. Why? Only because he is a white guy and not a Muslim guy with beard? Someone who tries to blow up a bulidng and kills 92 innocent, young people is a terrorist.

Somehow the link does not work; another try:
