Is the LGBT Press Serving Our Needs?

The Chicago Free Press is back after a regularly scheduled hiatus and an employee walk-out for non-payment. We’re keeping an eye out for the gay weekly by stopping by the box and checking it for content and circulation. The paper had 25 pages, many of which were candid photos of people in nightclubs. It appears as though 40 issues were dropped off on Thursday and between that time and Sunday at 3PM, only 22 copies were picked up.

Andersonville is a thriving gay neighborhood and by my estimate, maybe 200 newspapers were delivered to this area, but only half were picked up. So who is or is not reading this paper and how is it serving this community?
