Someone at Comedy Central, please tell John Stewart of The Daily Show that knocking Rahm off the mayoral ballot is business as usual here in Chicago. He seems to think it’s an unusual practice, but many an election have been won by knocking the favorited politician off the ballot due to a technicality. Even President Obama knocked off a favored opponent when he ran for Illinois Senate.
