On the heels of Bea Arthur, America’s lost another comedy legend from TV and film– Dom DeLuise. The portly actor, well known for his appearances as a flamboyant gay director in the Mel Brooks Film “Blazing Saddles,” as Burt Reynold’s sidekick in the painfully cheesy “Cannonball Run” movies and on the Dean Martin Show died in his sleep after a long illness. He was 75.
Here’s a clip from his appearance in the Mel Brooks Film “Blazing Saddles.”
