Ha! I was going through my YouTube Favorites from last year and I was wondering if y’all had caught this one.
Yes, New Zealand is very proud of its native critters, especially the parrots. I had a parrot of a different species swoop down on me and try to steal chapstick right out of my hand during a nature walk. There’s another species living in the mountains that will gnaw all the rubber bits off your car unless you leave some stale bread out to distract them. Incredibly naughty, but charming all the same. Just like Feast of Fun!

Word on the street: internet sensation Sirocco the kākāpō will be flown in from his private island to make an appearance at the local nature sanctuary here in Wellington during the Rugby World Cup. Still riding high on the viral fame of his sex scandal, you see!
