Which is worse – Vince Vaughn singing or the self-indulgent Ray Charles impression by Jamie Foxx?
Didn’t Jaimie Fox win an Oscar for his performance as Ray Charles?
I actually lol’ed a little a few times in this video..like when Barbra came on I cracked up…the singer’s over enthusiasm was silly to me..which I know is mean since they are doing this for Haiti..and then they had to go and ruin the whole song by throwing in those shitty teenage singers..shame shame
I think it’s okay because you have people who will help get money in the hands of the Haitian people. So what that the Jonas bros are dorks? I think it’s okay for them to be there because it’s about drawing attention to the people of Haiti, not their careers.
Now if someone could get all the divas together- Tina turner, Aretha, Cher Madonna, Yoko, Gaga, Cyndi, Gloria, that would be sizzling hot.
I only loved it in the sense that it’s kinda cracky. I love the sentiment and the good will. But some of it was bizarre. The NPR blogger, Linda Holmes, gets it right (don’t know if the stumble upon link to the blog will work if I paste it here): some singers in the new version are underwhelming when compared to the previous version’s counterparts. And I appreciate the distinctiveness Wycleaf Jean was trying to add to it, but it sounded pretty horrible. I’m just sayin’. I’d like to see FOF produce their own draglicious version of it: can you get famous queen from all over the country/world to do one together???
Trying to get all the worlds famous drag queens in one room without killing me or each other, no problem. And get them to sing on key? Done and done!
