VIDEO: Openly Gay Rugby Star Gareth Thomas on Ellen

Openly gay pro-rugby player Gareth Thomas went on the Ellen show to talk about being the only openly gay male athlete on any major sports team in the world. “To come out to people is like having a weight lifted off your shoulders.”

When Gareth came out to his tough-guy father, his family responded by opening a bottle of champagne to celebrate “a toast to the start of the rest of your life.”

I can hardly understand what this sports hunk is saying, but I love how he looks when he’s saying it! He’s even charming the pants off Ellen, who looks like she wants to have his baby. Who wouldn’t?
